Community Service

We are trying to inculcate social values and an attitude of gratitude amongst our learners.

Community service refers to services that a person performs for the benefit of his or her local community. At Sanskar World School, we have a comprehensive Community Service program that has been instituted for the students. Our school has implemented the program with two major purposes- first,- to make students realize that every individual has the ability to make a difference and second, that what we receive from society is not our right, it’s a favor done by society, thus, needs to be returned in greater measure, with a sense of gratitude attached.

With community programme the development of a student is focused across the intellectual, social, emotional, physical, spiritual and aesthetic level. Our entire community programme is aimed at inspiring students to stay engaged in social activities and to instill in them the qualities of care, compassion and empathy.

As the name of the school itself suggests, imbibing Sanskar, greater emphasis is given to the development of humane qualities in young learners, through association with socially important agencies.

To sensitize learners about the plight of underprivileged community members, school is working in close association with GOONJ, an NGO committed to uplift the under-privileged class with dignity. We proudly associate ourselves with programmes like Joy of Giving for which students donate clothes and other usable items.

Students are made to take part regularly in various conservation programmes organized by Ministry of Environment in association with CMS Vatavaran. Regular Invites extended to our school students from such agencies is testimony of our commitment and contribution in this regard. This is till date unheard of in most schools in the region.

Students have been part of the River Conservation programme ‘Rally for rivers’ and have contributed immensely towards its success.

Other social programmes include- environment protection drives, plantation drive, Say No To Crackers campaign etc. We organize seminars, street plays, drawing competitions, Best out of waste contests, cleanliness drives etc.

For Community health issues Participation in Swach Bharat Abhiyan and Malaria and Dengue prevention programme, Save Girl Child mission and Each One Teach One, are regular features and voluntary student participation in these programmes, keep our learners, vigilant in matters of such great social importance.

‘Tell me and I’ll forget. Show me and I’ll remember. Involve me and I’ll understand.’

Our students are made to imbibe moral teachings through such programmes, which develops in them an inner urge to practice these in daily lives
